Training for strengthening the trading administrative directions of the Ministry of Economy

General objective :

Strengthening the managing personnel of MINECO in the implementation of the legislation of intellectual property, in the central American technical regulations and in the management of the association agreement between central America and the European Union.

Specific objective 1: Strengthening capabilities and competences of the Bureau of Intellectual Property Registry’s personnel in implementing the legislation and procedures of the Registry.

Specific objective 2: Strengthening the technical capabilities of MINECO’s, MSPAS’, MAGA’s and SAT’s personnel responsible for applying the Customs Union’s regulations with regard to food security, sanitary and phytosanitary measures and commerce facilitation.

Specific objective 3: Strengthening the capabilities of DACE’s personnel on various subjects related to the association agreement.

R1: The personnel of the Bureau of Intellectual Property Registry and other institutions responsible for this sector have been trained in the implementation of the legislation and its procedures.

R2: The competent authorities of MINECO, MSPAS, MAGA and SAT have been trained in the implementation of the central American technical regulation concerning sanitary and phytosanitary measures, medicinal products for human use, additives and colorants for food for human consumption.

R3: The personnel of DACE has been trained in the procedures concerning the origins of the merchandise and can count on a team of trainers who carry out coordinating actions in access areas to markets, customs duties and rates with other institutions in the production sector.
